Jamia Islamia Redhi Tajpura District Saharanpur (U.P.) India

Due to the everlasting connection of Indian Muslims with the teachings of the Holy Quran, historians have acknowledged the fact that "the Qur’an was revealed in Arabia, recited in Egypt, and understood in India.”

The devoted servants of Jamia Islamia have resolved to uphold this historical reality. Currently, Jamia Islamia has nearly one and a half thousand students of the Qur’an. Among them are those who are engaged in learning by-sighting recitation, those who are striving to attain the honour of memorizing it, those who are immersed in the beautification and enhancement of Qur’anic recitation after completing their memorization, and those fortunate individuals who are dedicating the best years of their lives to the study and contemplation of the Qur,anic sciences.

Congratulations to those children of the Muslim Ummah who will become the means of fulfilling the divine promise, "إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ" (Surah Al-Hijr: 9). [We, Ourselves, have sent down the Dhikr (the Qur‘an), and We are there to protect it.] It is commendable that there are the donors who have always been ready to support and assist such a group of students.

The educational system of Jamia Islamia has been designed in such a way that it exemplifies the concept of "doing more in less time." After completing the Qura’nic education, the students enroll in the Arabic Department and the classes where they learn Urdu, Hindi, Mathematics, Geography and other, non-religious sciences. They graduate from with satisfactory results. Post-graduation, they devote themselves to their religious and worldly responsibilities.

In the primary levels, students acquire a level of proficiency in non-religious sciences, which is sufficient for their worldly business. This curriculum at the Jamia is completed in just three years. Additionally, the Aalimiyyah course - which includes subjects such as Arabic syntax and morphology, logic, jurisprudence, principles of jurisprudence, dialectics, semantics, Hadith, and interpretation of the Qur’an - is completed in only six years.
